CAIRO: Egyptian Administrative Judiciary Court of State Security decided to adjourn the trial of appealing against Madinaty Company's new contract to November 22. State Commissioners Authority in Egypt passed a court verdict to refuse the lawsuit filed by engineer Hamdi el-Fakharani against the new contract of Madinaty. The Authority said the government took all measures of the signing of the contract, which cannot be cancelled to preserve the rights of those who booked new buildings and apartments in the project. There is no need to cause harm to the Egyptian economy amid the statues quo of Egypt's economy. Madinaty is a city built on 8,000 acres, designed to provide modern life for 600,000 inhabitants in 120,000 housing units as a modern extension to New Cairo. El-Fakharani filed an appeal against the Company's contract, which was signed in November with Talaat Mustafa' group. El-Fakharani said the government should deposit 50 billion EGP in a bank account in the name for Egyptians; to repay the money for Egyptian prisoners who were jailed over debts and for the unemployed youth. El-Fakharani noted the new contract is signed in the same provisions and prices of the older one. According to the contract, Talaat Mustafa purchased one meter of land for 227 EGP while the company sells it for 10,000 EGP in the residential buildings and for 5,300 EGP in commercial shops. The old contract was cancelled because of the same provisions. Meanwhile, hundreds of workers, investors and those who booked apartments protested outside the State Council headquarters. They chanted their slogans to get their rights and their land. Arabic here
