Joint campaigns between armed forces and the Ministry of Interior resulted in the arrest of 346 men.
In Cairo and Giza governorates, 201 were arrested. Nine were arrested for firearm possession and 26 for possessing illegal weapons other than firearms. Forty-two were arrested on drug charges. Sixty-one were escaping from warrants, while five were prison escapees.
The arrests were made in the neighborhoods of Sayeda Zeinab, Moqattam, Rod El-Farg, Bulaq, El-Salam and Haram.
In other governorates, 145 were arrested. Fifteen were arrested for having firearms, while 47 were arrested on non-firearm illegal weapons charges. Forty-four were fleeing charges, two were accused of theft, 22 possessed drugs, and 13 were prison escapees.
