Armed forces arrest suspected criminals, one American

SUEZ, Egypt: The armed forces arrested an American for suspicion of photographing important places in Suez without a permit yesterday. In addition, the armed forces and security services in the Ministry of Interior arrested 59 persons, most of whom are suspected of being fugitives or thugs.
Armed forces patrols, with the help of the police, arrested 43 suspected criminals in Cairo and Giza. They were arrested and charged with the following: possession of knives, drugs, and firearms; robbery; and intimidation against the public.
Four other suspects were arrested in Damietta for possession of knives and firearems and intimidation of the public; another three were arrested in Daqahlyia governorate for the same reasons.
