ISMIALIA, Egypt: Administration board of the free zone in Ismailia approved of establishing three projects there. The projects' cost is estimated at U.S. $7.91 million as capital. The project will take place on 8,824 meter cubed on land, which its investment costs U.S. $2.47 million. The projects will need approximately 270-320 Egyptian workers and 17 foreign workers. They will manufacture, compile and wrap medical supplies, catheters, computer software and multimedia. The free zone administration took these decisions during its meeting on Thursday October 19. The governor of Ismailia Gamal Imbaby headed the meeting. Imbaby assured it is important to consider the capacity of sewer lines before holding the projects. He also agreed to accomplish a fire net and reform some projects to increase capital and investment costs. The capital of some projects increased to U.S. $78 million. New project capitals reached U.S. $10 million. Their investment cost reached U.S. $45.50 million for 11,824 meters cubed piece of land. The governor said it is important to hold meeting with the investors in the free zone and activate factory and company role in Ismalia and participate in supporting activities in the governorate. Imbaby assured it is important to facilitate all problems to investors. He also focused on the importance of study workers' rights and coordinate with the Ministry of Manpower in issues of minimum wages.
