CAIRO: A hundred and six Egyptian prisoners in Israel began a hunger strike, calling for their release and repatriation. The protesting prisoners called to be listed amongst the Egyptian prisoners whom will be set free in exchange for Ilan Grapel, who is accused of spying for Israel. Dozens of Egyptian activists protested at Rafah Crossing to support the Egyptian prisoners. The Egyptian prisoners' lawyer Mahmoud Said Lutfi called their quick release, especially three Egyptian children held in Israel.
