Israeli newspaper Maariv said Israeli Prime Minister's envoy David Midan's held discussions in Cairo on October 16 with Egyptian Intelligence Officials. This meeting will finalize the deal of exchanging the released Palestinian prisoners in with the captured Israeli soldier, Gilad Shalit, by Hamas. The newspaper added Israeli prisons directory started to transfer the Palestinian prisoners who are supposed to be released, according to the deal. It is mentioned some prisoners will be gathered in Ketziot Prison in South Israel, while some of them will be transferred to Ha Sharon Prison in the center of Israel. Maariv said after the captives are transferred to the two prisons, medical examinations will start making sure of their identity before the final of the prison service and the International Red Cross. Maariv added the principals at the headquarters of the Heads of Israel received files of Palestinian prisoners on Saturday October 15, along with the recommendation of Israeli Minister of Justice Yaakov Neeman to pardon them. Judicial sector in the headquarters of the presidency are preparing pardon documents to be signed by the Israeli President Shimon Perez. This is after the verdict released by High Court of Justice concerning the petitions submitted against the exchange deal. Maariv revealed the Israeli President intends to send a personal letter to the department of pardon to ensure although his signatures, he won't forgive those prisoners and won't forget what they committed. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held meetings on October 15 to discuss how to welcom Gilad Shalit and media coverage for his the event of his arrival. Maariv said Netanyahu and Minister of Defense Ehud Barak will be receiving Shalit when he is back in Israel, without any official reception or ceremonies.
