CAIRO: Hundreds of Egyptian Copts will gather tonight at St. Mark's Cathedral in Abassiya to mourn during a memorial for victims of the Maspiro clashes last Sunday. Tonight marks the seventh day since the clashes. “The Copts will gather to mourn the victims and confirm their demands, which include the expulsion of the Minister of Media and the Aswan governor as well as the prosecution of those involved in the killing,” said Andrew Aweidah, a member of the Maspiro Union. The Youth for Justice and Freedom Movement will also participate. Mina Daniel, one of the Maspiro victims, was a member in the Movement. The service will begin at 6 p.m.
