CAIRO: The deadline for nominations for parliamentary elections has been extended to October 22. Egypt's High Electoral Committee, chaired by Judge Abdel Moez Ibrahim, today extended the deadline to submit nominations for the People's Assembly and Shura Council through October 22. The decision came to support the democratic transition in Egypt and to provide the chance for all to positively participate in this course. Certain political parties and movements submitted a request to Egypt's ruling military council to extend the time of nomination for the parliamentary elections.
