Two policemen suffered from shortness of breath after breaking up clashes between the prisoners in Qurna, in the upper Egyptian governorate of Luxor. They were transferred to the Central Hospital Qurna. Director of Luxor Security, Hassan Mohamed Hassan received report about the incident. The report said transferred prisoners from Qena Governorate Prison began harassing prisoners after arriving at Qurna police station. They prevented the arrival of food to other prisoners using knives. Security forces fired tear gas to suppress the protests, which injured the officer and his deputy.
