CAIRO: A coalition of young airport workers asked Minister of Civil Aviation Lutfi Mustafa to change national carrier EgyptAir's working regulations, saying they contradict with the work law and civil workers' regulations. They demanded to unify the company's regulations, to be equal to the air traffic controllers, to receive all scheduled allowances according to the law, and to be provided with free flight tickets. Coalition members said officials did not care to meet their demands for seven months, which proves that the only way to have your demands met is to stage a sit-in. They also asked to activate former Minister of Civil Aviation Ahmed Shafiq's call to increase workers' salary by 100 percent, as they only received a 30 percent increase. They also asked to increase their bonuses by 100 percent.
