CAIRO: "I will knock at every door in the foreign market while participating in international exhibition and conferences to return stability to Egyptian tourism," said Egyptian Minister of Tourism Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour. During the kick-off the 17th session of the World Forum for Development and Enhancement of Communication between Air Transport Companies and International Airports in Berlin, Abdel Nour said Egypt hit a record number of the tourism in 2010, receiving 15 million tourists. He highlighted the importance of participating in the aviation forum, as it deepens relations between the tourism and aviation sectors. The minister noted around 90 percent of tourists come to Egypt by plane. Creating tourism demand requires a balance in the air capacity with the needs of other tourism demands, according to Abdel Nour. The minister is meeting with representatives of aviation companies from Egypt to preview the companies' performance in tourism sector and their cooperative efforts, to achieve the highest rate of tourist flying on Egyptian planes.
