Abbas: Palestinians will resist occupation peacefully

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas today demanded that Israel join the peace during his speech before the United Nations General Assembly.
“The Palestinians will resume their public and peaceful resistance against the Israeli occupation,” Abbas said, adding that Israeli insistence on settlement building will undermine the two-state solution and threaten the Palestinian Authority.
The Palestinian President submitted an official request for full membership in the UN during his meeting with Secretary-General of the UN Ban Ki-Moon.
