An Egyptian delegation will visit Libya within the next few days to congratulate the Libyan people and Libya's transitional government, the National Transitional Council (NTC), for the success of their revolution and to study Libyan needs for Egyptian labor in reconstruction efforts, said the Egyptian Minister of Manpower and Immigration Monday. Dr Ahmed al-Borei said that the delegation would include businessmen, the Interim Committee of the Federation of Workers Administration, and owners of construction companies. “The Libyan rebels requested Egyptian labor before Gadhafi's escape from Tripoli, but the Egyptian government could not send any workers as it was concerned for their safety,” said Borei. The minister added that the NTC reduced the cost of work permits for Egyptians in Libya from 500 Libyan Dinar (U.S. $412) to 100 Dinars (U.S. $82).
