CAIRO: For the third time, the sit-in staged by demonstrators and a mass of passengers continued. The passengers in front of Egyptian Safaga Port, Red Sea, demonstrated since their ferry did deport yet. Egyptian Al-Qahera Company for Ferries and Maritime Transport is still allowing arbitrary booking and reservations to exceed the numbers of passengers over the number of seats available. The company neglected the warnings of arbitrary booking and did not provide passengers a place to reside until the ferries are to transport them to Saudi Arabia. Around 570 passengers resumed their sit-in after 900 people left port. The company chairman, Hassan el-Hermil, refused to respond to the passengers' demands, Youm7 discovered yesterday. He justified the company is affiliated to Egyptian Ministry of Transportation. The Egyptian chirf of the Maritime Transport Sector sent the company a warning message to stop arbitrary bookings. The company, however, sent the sector a letter saying the crisis of passengers will last two more weeks because booking has been completed. The crisis resulted in many mistakes from the company's travel agent.
