RED SEA, Egypt: Hurghada Airport's Customs Administration managed to prevent an attempt to smuggle arms and ammunition by a Polish tourist. The Egyptian security forces arrested her and referred her to the prosecution to conduct investigations. The director of airport security, Sameh Koota, received a notification from the manger of Customs Department about finding a German pistol, gas ampoule, which cause immediate paralysis, in addition to 1,500 bullets while inspecting the Polish tourist. The tourist was nervous and made a number of phone calls during the inspection. She justified her situation saying she brought the weapons to defend herself, clarifying she was not been suspended in Warsaw Airport. She said she didn't know Egyptian laws prevent the entry of such item into Egyptian territories.
