An Iranian source said, to Youm7, that Mohamed Shawky al-Islamboly, brother of Sadat's killer, and a number of Islamists who have been persecuted by the former regime will arrive in Cairo on Sunday. The source added that Iran enabled them to choose the country in which they want to live, while they chose Egypt expressing their confidence that Egypt changed after overthrowing the former regime. It is important to mention that the brother of Sadat's killer escaped to Iran in the beginning of 1980s due to the security blockade imposed against him by the Egyptian authorities after Sadat's assassination in 1981. During the former regime, Mohamed Shawky al-Islamboly was sentenced to death in absentia in the case of the returnees from Albania. Recently, al-Islamboly suffered from a heart attack so the Iranian authorities allowed treating him before deporting him to Egypt.
