ISMAILIA, EGYPT: The Revolution Youth Coalition, Muslim Brotherhood, and thousands of Egyptian citizens organized a protest in Ismailia's Mamar square Saturday, protesting the deaths of Egyptian soldiers on the border with Israel. Thursday six Egyptian soldiers were killed by the Israeli military as they pursued militants across the border near the Red Coast cities of Eilat and Taba. Protestors demanded the dismissal of the Israeli ambassador, the recall of the Egyptian ambassador to Israel, and a timely response from the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces. The political groups in Ismailia issued a statement calling on Egyptian political forces and youth coalitions to unify and face internal and external dangers. Also issuing the statement were the Youth Revolution, Voice of Free Youth, Youth for Change, and The National Committee.
