The funeral for 22-year-old soldier Hasan Ibrahim Hassan Alhanat who died yesterday after he was hit by a missile in the Negev area of the Sinai was held today in his hometown of Awlayea in Met Ghamra. More than 10,000 mourners attended the public funeral though no officials from the government were present. “Major General Salah El Madawy, the Governor of Dakahlia or at the very least his representative will come pay his respects to the victim's family,” a source said earlier. The Muslim Brotherhood announced they will organize a demonstration after the Taraweh prayers. A gathering will start in front of the mosque where the funeral was held and they will march to the main square in the village. The protest is against Israeli aggression in the Sinai and the killing of six officers and soldiers.
