CAIRO: Cairo governor's secretary, Adel Taha, resigned in objection to the policy of random distribution of housing units by El-Salam Camps' protestors, a source told Youm7. The source said the governor of Cairo, Abdel Kawy Khalifa, tried many times to call Taha to convince him to stay in his position, but Taha had turned off his phone. Dozens of protestors of El-Salam Camps gathered in front of Cairo's governorate building. They gathered there after stopping their protest in front of Maspiro building. They stopped their protests when Khalifa promised they will receive housing units. The governorate building became devoid of all staff and leaders and closed its doors. In response, the protestors called for housing units as they were promised. They threatened open protests in front of Prime Minister Essam Sharaf's house in case their demands aren't met.
