Baradei on investigation of Mahfouz: “Stop this farce”

CAIRO: Egyptian presidential nominee and former Secretary-General of the UN IAEA Mohamed al-Baradei said today that the trial of Egyptian activist Asmaa Mahfouz is a repudiation of the revolution.
“Stop this farce immediately,” el-Baradei tweeted earlier.
Mahfouz, who was brought before a military tribunal for defamation and incitement to violence, was questioned for six hours before being released on 20,000 EGP (U.S. $3,357) bail earlier today.
