Egypt prepares a hall in the Police Academy in Cairo's Fifth Settlement to be used as a courtroom to try former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. Mubarak's trial begins August 3. The ousted president faces charges of financial corruption and murdering demonstrators during Egypt's January 25 Revolution. He will be tried alongside his sons, former Interior Minister Habib al-Adly, six of al-Adly's assistants, and fugitive businessman Hussein Salem (who will be tried in absentia). Minister of Interior Mansour el-Issawy visited the Police Academy to inspect the courtroom today.
