CAIRO: Egyptian Association for Zakat, Islamic charity, and Steps association for charity held an initiative called ‘Who's bag is this?' The initiative aims to feed 1,000 poor Egyptians who were affected badly by sectarian strife in Egypt. This initiative will prove Muslim and Christian unity. Many public figures will participate in this initiative such as the former Minister of Administrative Development, Ahmed Darwish, Pope Shenouda III's secretary, Bishop Ioannis, among others. An official in Steps Association for charity, Yasmeen Ahmed, said this initiative proved national unity between Muslims and Christians. They both cooperate to feed the poor in Ramadan, the Islamic holy month, by providing Ramadan bags full of food to be provided for the poor and can feed a family. Yasmeen also said the Steps association organized two conveys to Fayoum and Ismailia. They will distribute 2,000 bags for poor families.
