Preparations are underway in Tahrir Square for tomorrow's demonstration dubbed “Friday of the People's Will.” The purpose of the demonstration is to show the ruling military council that protestors are now unified behind the same demands of the January 25 Revolution. These demands include: public trials of former and prominent regime figures, the purging of corrupt officials in government ministries and institutions, and retribution against those who killed protesters during the revolution. Al-Gamaa Islamiyya, an Islamic movement, built a stage next to the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurant. “We will participate in tomorrow's rally. Our main demand is the rejection of the supra-constitutional principles and the holding of elections before a constitution is written,” said Mustafa, a member of the Al-Gamaa. Al-Gamaa supports the following revolution demands: trials for the killers of martyrs, public trials for former regime officials and charity for the poor, he added. “We will stay through the afternoon but then we'll leave the square. We can't stage a sit-in that could harm the state, but, at the same time, we won't say to people ‘don't stage a sit-in,'” said Mustafa. Al-Gamaa also built a second stage next to the Omar Makram mosque. “All Islamic movements will participate in this Friday's peaceful rally, and we hope no clashes start between us and other protesters, as they think we aim to break the sit-in – but this is not true,” said Khaled, another member of Al Gamaa. The slogan of tomorrow's rally will be “One Arm,” said Abdel Moneim, public coordinator of the grassroots Bedaya Movement. The movement also demands the reactivation of the “Law of Perfidy,” to be used against former regime officials. The Muslim Brotherhood said they could bring more than 4,000 young men to participate in the popular committees, but they won't participate in the sit-in, said Abdel Moneim. Both the Ahly and Zamalek football teams' supporters will participate by securing the square's entrances.
