CAIRO: Egypt's Court of Appeal determined the session of Sep. 11 to consider the case of assaulting peaceful demonstrators in Tahrir Square on February 2. The day is known by Egyptians as the Battle of the Camel. The case will be before circuit 10 of South Cairo's Criminal Court. The Judicial Investigation Authority of the Battle of the Camel, headed by Judge Mahmoud al-Sabroot, accused the defendants of inciting and participating in killing the peaceful demonstrators during their strike in Tahrir Square against the former regime. The list of defendants included a number of businessmen, members of the dissolved parliament and prominent leaders of the formerly ruling National Democratic Party.
