CAIRO: Demonstrators in Cairo's now-iconic Tahrir Square are calling for this Friday's demonstrations to be called ‘Friday of the coffin.' They said they have drafted the program they will promote during Friday's demonstration. Marches will be organized around the square, through which demonstrators will carry coffins to remind Egyptian officials of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to achieve change – which has not yet been achieved, according to the demonstrators. The demonstrators said they will escalate acts of civil disobedience to pressure Egypt's rulers to respond to the people's wishes. They called on Egypt's political parties, coalitions and movements to unify their visions and demands. The demonstrators also called on Judge Mahmoud al-Khodairy to hold a mock trial of the figures of the former regime and to issue rulings against former president Hosni Mubarak and other members of his regime.
