In pictures: Calm resumes at Tahrir amidst preparations for Sept. 30 protest

CAIRO: Calm once again descended on the iconic Tahrir Square today after altercations broke out earlier during preparations for a million-man demonstration this Friday, September 30.
Hundreds of organizers were mobbed in different parts of the Square making preparations for the protest.
The gathering today is designed to help make ready the Square for this Friday's demonstration, for which many political parties have called, said Ahmed Said, a Tahrir demonstrator.
There will be three marches beginning from Tahrir Square after Friday prayer, he added.
