CAIRO: Farid El-Deeb, the chief defense lawyer for the former President Hosni Mubarak, said there are millions of supporters and opponents of Mubarak in Egypt, pointing out that it is not justifiable to insult the person who ruled Egypt during the last period. Deeb said during his interview with host Moataz Demerdash on the television program 'Masr el Gedida' (the new Egypt), that Mubarak was the first one to support the revolution, given that he stepped down in response to the demands of the revolution. Deeb added that Mubarak is upset because of the unjust campaigns that are being carried out against him, which have clearly affected his health.
