Pope Shenouda III, the religious leader of Egypt's Coptic Christians, met with General Samy Diab, a member of the military council and the man responsible for religious affairs. In their Wednesday meeting, they discussed a number of issues that have arisen in Egypt recently. General Diab said the visit expressed the mutual appreciation between the military council and the church, and Priest Sergios confirmed this. The meeting was attended by a number of Christian clerics.
