Egypt's press today focused on the arrest of a supposed Israeli spy who was sentenced to 15 days in prison for investigation. The media also covered the Illicit Gain Authority's investigation with Anushka who proved that she is not the wife of former Minister of Interior Habib al-Adly. Youm7: Daily newspaper Youm7 reported that the Supreme State Security prosecution has passed a sentence of 15 days in prison against the Israeli spy for investigations. The spy is accused of causing harm to Egypt's national security and recruiting Egyptians to collect information about Egypt after the January 25 Revolution. He had more than one laptop and three cell phones which could include very dangerous economic, political, social, and security information and other information concerning other issues like empowerment of Islamists and sectarian violence. In other news, Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf said his government welcomes the investments established by Egyptians abroad. The government will facilitate the required procedures for establishing these projects and will participate in joint projects. Sharaf added that democracy is irreversible. Al-Ahram: According to State-run newspaper al-Ahram, the chairman of the National Commercial Bank and head of the Federation of Egyptian Banks, Tarek Amr, revealed the toppled president Hosni Mubarak and his family have 200 billion EGP in al-Ahli bank. Amr denied the media report that claimed Suzanne has power of attorney over Mubarak's Bank Alexandria account. He added that the bank did not receive any notification to transferring money abroad after the revolution. No politicians have intervened in Egyptian Bank policies, Amr continued. Al-Akhbar: The International Monitory Fund's (IMF) computers have been hacked. The computers include all IMF data. IMF spokesman said there is an investigation on this incident. Egyptian Minister of Justice Mahmoud Abdel-Aziz el-Gendi said the deposed president could face the death penalty if he is convicted of killing demonstrators during the January 25 Revolution. Al-Wafd: Opposition newspaper Al-Wafd said Mubarak lives in a room with one bed in Sharm el-Sheikh International Hospital and other services are provided from outside the hospital. Medical sources said Mubarak did not take the hospital's medicine that is prescribed by the medical committee. Meanwhile, sheikh Yousif el-Badri called for noon prayer on the main platform during the National Accord conference in the People's Assembly. The committee members called for halting workers of the committee because of noon prayer. Al-Masry Al-Youm: Meanwhile, wikileaks website revealed that Charge d'affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Qatar, Mirembe Namtongo, sent her country a letter on deterioration of Egyptian- Qatari relations during the past period and during Mubarak's regime. Egyptian presidential nominee Mohamed el-Baradei called for national unity and compromising all differences among the political powers. He added in an interview with 250 youth in his office that Egypt's interests should top other interests to bypass this transition period. Al-Dostor: Al-Gama'a al-Islamiyya (GA) refused the unified law of building places of worship which is being considered by PM Sharaf's government. They called for putting into consideration the demographic balance in Egypt between the Muslims and Christians. The Party Affairs Committee agreed to establish the Salafis' el-Nour Party. The committee said the new party can practice its activities ‘in the day' after its ratification. Al-Shorouq: General Prosecution called upon the sector of Islamic archeology at the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities to submit all documents concerning the monuments of the presidential palaces before some were stolen during the January 25 Revolution. The documents will be compared to the inventory made by the judiciary committee. As for secondary school exams, around 435,583 students took their exams Sunday. The students expressed their happiness as the exam was easy. Al-Gomhorreya: National Security Agency (NSA) has arrested one of the people who was involved in the el-Hussein Mosque explosion in 2009.
