Investigation with Egypt's former Deputy Prime Minister, Youssef Wali, will begin at the end of next week with Judge Ahmed Idris, the Inquiry Counsel assigned by the Minister of Justice. Wali was also formerly Egypt's Minister of Agriculture. Wali is accused of permitting the import of carcinogenic pesticides and harming the public funds, causing the fugitive businessman to illegally earn 200 million EGP (U.S. $33.9 million). Mustafa Bakry, a former Member of Parliament, accused Wali of allowing the carcinogenic pesticide to be added to foods. The pesticide has been reveled to cause kidney and liver failure and consequently harms citizens. A photocopy of the court verdict against Youssef Abdel Rahman, the former first deputy of the Ministry of Agriculture, was presented. It proved that Wali accepted the import of forbidden carcinogenic pesticides. Wali permitted also to use these carcinogenic pesticides in pest control. He released recorded certifications which indicate that experiments are held proving that these carcinogenic pesticides aren't dangerous for human usage, which is not true.
