CAIRO: Demonstrators at Maspiro, the Egyptian television and radio headquarters, along with camp residents in el-Salam city, opened the Cornish road after it was closed for three hours. The demonstrators closed the road when the Cairo governorate committee refused to take their documents that prove they have the right to receive governmental houses because of the congestions and heavy clashes they were causing. When security forces organized the demonstrators, the traffic movement was resumed to normal, and so the protestors opened the road. However, tension escalated when a driver objected to close the toad and ran over a demonstrator. The protestors immediately destroyed his car, beat him and almost killed him. The committee was formed to check the documents of the camp residents and see whether or not they deserved receiving governmental houses.
