CAIRO: Egyptian Security of State prosecution agreed to reclaim some of International Muslim Brotherhood (MB) funds and return them to the MB in Egypt. MB lawyer Abdel Moneim Abdel Maqsoud said the prosecution decided to reclaim part of the confiscated money to the MB but receiving the actual money will take time until legal procedures are done. Egyptian Members of the MB were accused of money laundering by bringing approximately U.S. $4 million from outside the country through an exchange company. The former regime confiscated the money and the company last year. It is worth mentioning the State Security High Court of Emergency passed imprisonment sentences against Islamic preachers Wagdy Ghoneim, Ashraf Abdel Halim and Aed el-Qarani and the exchange company owner over this case. In 2000, there were other funds confiscated from the MB.
