Egypt center-half Ahmed Hegazi has made his long-awaited Serie A bow for Fiorentina in the 4-1 win over Atalanta on Sunday. Hegazi, who sealed his move to the Italian side from Ismaili on a four-year deal, had been confined to the bench for the past 12 weeks. The 21-year-old was introduced in the 76th minute to replace Facundo Roncaglia when Viola were leading 4-1, courtesy of goals from Gonzalo Rodriguez, Alberto Aquilani (two) and Luca Toni. It is Fiorentina's fifth win on the trot, lifting them to third place on 27 points as they remain in contention for a Champions League spot.
