Egypt's Olympic team slumped to a 1-0 loss to Honduras in their final warm-up match ahead of the London Games. The sole goal of the game was scored in the first half by Wigan defender Maynor Figueroa - one of Honduras' three over-age players - courtesy of a powerful freekick. Hany Ramzy's men - missing senior trio Mohamed Abou-Treika, Ahmed Fathi and Emad Meteb - put in a limp display ahead of their opener against Brazil on 26 July. The Young Pharaohs hardly threatened their opponents' goal and were lucky not to concede more goals as Figueroa saw his deflected shot saved by the bar. Zamalek duo Omar Gaber and Ahmed Al-Shennawi both played the whole game, having been at the center of a major dispute between their club's management and Ramzy over the timing of their arrival to Egypt ahead of the derby against Ahli.
