Zamalek assistant manager Ismail Youssef insists there is no place for star midfielder Shikabala in the first team squad, following his rift with head coach Hassan Shehata. Shikabala's infamous rant at his manager in a Champions League game in May cost him dearly as the highly-respected Shehata conditioned his stay with the playmaker's exit. Zamalek have been waiting for offers for their influential number 10, but there has been no real interest in his services so far despite a few unofficial bids from the Gulf. It has been suggested that the case could be closed, but coach Youssef set the record straight that Shikabala is out of the management's plans, particularly after his failure to apologize on time. Technical decision “There is a managerial aspect regarding the sale of Shikabala and that solely belongs to the board," coach Youssef told FilGoal.com. “As for our part as a technical staff, I can say Shikabala will not be with us next season. “Whether offers came for him or not, he won't be playing for Zamalek. “Shikabala is a kind person and we usually back him, but I hoped he had instantly apologized for what he had done before it's too late."
