Zamalek captain Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed has been given permission to pull out of the Egypt squad for family reasons. The veteran goalkeeper, who was with the national team in Alexandria, was allowed to return home to see his sick daughter in Cairo. “He asked to leave due to the illness of his daughter and we allowed him,” Egypt goalkeeping coach Zaki Abdul-Fattah told a press conference. “We have three excellent goalkeepers and anyone of them is capable of playing against Mozambique.” Sherif Ekrami, Essam Al-Hadari and Ahmed Al-Shennawi are the three other goalies on board, with the latter duo likely to compete for a place between the posts against Mozambique.
