The Egypt Olympic team produced a better second-half performance to claim a 1-1 draw with Turkey in the friendly Toulon Tournament. Egypt, who lost the opining game 3-0 to Holland, found themselves behind after just four minutes when Emre Gural struck in from close range. Manager Hany Ramzy made his first change on the half hour mark when he brought on Hesham Mohamed for Mohamed Sobhi. Egypt were gradually improving and had several chances to equalize through Marwan Mohsen and Ahmed Sherweda until the goal came from an unlikely source. It was Zamalek full-back Omar Gaber who pulled level with a superb team move including a cheeky back-heel assist by Mohsen. Egypt's final group game will be against Japan, who surprisingly beat Holland 3-2 after losing the opener to Turkey.
