Ahli have confirmed that defense ace Ahmed Fathi is fit to play against Stade Malien in next week's CAF Champions League clash. The Egypt defender has been ruled out for over a month after having knee surgery in early April, but is now ready to return to action. “Fathi's shape in today's training showed he is fully fit to play against Stade,” Ahli football director Sayed Abdul-Hafiz told the club's website in Friday. “The decision remains for the management though, but medically, Fathi is fit.” Ahli are already missing key stopper Wael Gomaa, who re-aggravated a calf injury in the round of 16 first-leg defeat in Bamako. Sweeper Hossam Ghaly is also a major doubt in the wake of his recent fall-out with coach Manuel Jose.
