Ahli captain Hossam Ghaly has been left out of the squad travelling to Bamako to face Stade Malien in the Champions League, with speculation of a rift with manager Manuel Jose. Even though he played down the reports this week, Ghaly admitted there was a ‘disagreement' with his boss recently. The Egypt midfielder's surprise exclusion suggests that his problem with Jose could be much bigger than that though. Meanwhile, Ahli miss striker Fabio Junior due to a thigh injury, while Abdullah Al-Saied remains sidelined with the same problem. Star defender Ahmed Fathi is a long-term absentee, but marksman Emad Meteb is fit again.
