Amr Zaki scored twice to lead Zamalek to a 2-1 friendly victory over Police Union as part of the Whites' preparations for the Champions League. Zaki, who ruled himself out of Egypt's recent camp in Dubai due to an ear infection, gave Zamalek a first-half lead before Saied Kamal restored parity in the 54th minute. The Bulldozer struck again to win the game for Hassan Shehata's men, who lost by the same scoreline to Police earlier this season in the league. A huge scare saw goalkeeper Mahmoud Abdul-Rahim ‘Gennesh' limp off with an injury, but the Zamalek medical staff was quick to assure that the problem is minor. Gennesh is the only goalkeeper available for Zamalek for this month's Champions League visit to Maghreb Fes, with skipper Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed suspended.
