Egypt are set to meet Tanzania in a friendly in February, according to Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) secretary general. “We are delighted to have such a good test for our team. The Egyptian soccer body (Efa) has also promised to incur all expenses,” the TFF secretary general Angetile Osiah told The Citizen. “We proposed to the EFA that the match be played in the third week of February and they agreed. So we expect to assemble the team early for the encounter that will give us a reality check before clashing with Mozambique (CAN 2013 qualifier).” The Egyptian FA had announced that the seven-time-African champions will play two friendlies in February, but is yet to reveal the opponents' identities. Egypt gear up for their opening CAN 2013 qualifier against Central African Republic by the end of February as Tanzania meet Mozambique in the preliminaries. In their last two meetings against Egypt, Taifa Stars were hammered 5-1 in a 2009 friendly and then in the 2011 Nile Basin Tournament.
