Zamalek's Egyptian Premier League opener with Wadi Degla has been postponed indefinitely following the latter's bus crash, the FA said on Monday. The Degla team bus crashed with a truck at the Cairo-Ismailia highway following a friendly game at Ismaili, which saw a staff member killed in the process. “The competitions committee has decided to postpone the match between Wadi Degla and Zamalek, which was scheduled for Saturday October 15, indefinitely as a sign of support to the Degla team after the horrific accident they were subjected to recently,” an FA statement read. While no players were injured in the accident, Belgian manager Walter Meeuws broke his arm and went unconscious for a while. Meanwhile, the FA has confirmed that Tuesday's cup final between Zamalek and ENPPI will go through as planned, despite the riots that hit the capital on Monday.
