Wydad Casablanca coach Michel Decastel predicts that the next Champions League round will see six-time champs Ahli wave goodbye to the competition. Ahli need a win when they clash with Wydad on September 11 as Tunisian giants Esperance host bottom-of-the-group MC Alger in a relatively winnable fixture in Tunis. Ahli's draw at Alger on Sunday left them trailing joint-leaders Wydad and Esperance by one point, which makes their next visit to the Moroccans decisive. “Ahli will face us at home, which makes us favorites to win and I think that Esperance will easily beat Alger,” former Zamalek coach Decastel was quoted by Moroccan media. “If things go that way, Ahli will be eliminated from the next round. “I predict that Esperance will join us to the next round because we have been the best two teams in the group stage.” The last time Ahli have been eliminated from the Champions League group stage came in 2002, when they finished bottom of a group including Wydad's city rivals Raja Casablanca.
