Ahli star Mohamed Abou-Treika believes that his side have no option but to beat MC Alger away in order to keep their Champions League chances alive. The Egyptian champions face the Algiers side on Sunday knowing that three points could at least send them top of Group B, with Esperance and Wydad clashing in Tunis. “We must win this game so that we can still stand a chance of qualifying for the semi-finals,” Abou-Treika was quoted as saying by Algerian media. “But it won't be easy, given the typical tension that takes place in Egyptian-Algerian encounters. “We are well aware of the impact of Alger fans, but I hope the match would be an example of sportsmanship.” Seven-time league champions Alger are renowned of having one of the biggest fan bases in Algeria as they play home games at the famous 80,000-seat Stade 5 Juillet.
