Ahli are not invincible - Heartland boss
Published in FilGoal on 10 - 09 - 2010

Ahli's 1-1 draw with Algerian side JS Kabylie in the African Champions League showed that they are not invincible, Heartland boss Samson Siasia said ahead of his side's clash against the Red Devils.
Kabylie ensured they would be among the last four in Africa's premier club competition after holding Ahli to a draw at Cairo Stadium on August 29, two weeks after defeating them 1-0 in Algeria.
Ahli, fellow Egyptian side Ismaili and Heartland are battling it out to join Kabylie in the semi final.
Heartland, who lie third in Group B with four points, face second-placed Ahli, who have five, in a vital game on Sunday.
"JS Kabylie just showed that Ahli are not invincible at home with the 1-1 draw," Siasia was quoted as saying on cafonline.com.
"So why can't we get a favourable result there too?"
Ahli, African champions for a record six times, opened their group-stage campaign with a 1-1 draw at Heartland, who took the lead early in the second half but were denied by a late penalty from Mohamed Abou-Treika.
The five-time Nigerian champions also frustrated Ismaili, coming from behind to defeat them 2-1 at home in their previous group game.
However, they have to break their away scoring duck to stand a chance of booking a last-four berth.
“It's going to be an explosive game (against Ahli) no doubt because my players now know they need that game too if they want to progress from the group," Siasia added.
"Our attack has given me a lot of worries before now but we are working on the players to ensure that they score goals away from home.
"It's not been nice to note that we've not scored away from home in the group stage of the competition. But I hope we start with Ahli.
"If we must win, we must score goals."
