Shikabala is wanted for a one-week trial at Tottenham Hotspur, according to the Zamalek midfielder's agent. “Tottenham contacted me, offering Shikabala a one-week trial. I will inform Zamalek today,” agent Samir Abdul-Tawab told FilGoal.com on Wednesday. Abdul-Tawab's claim comes at the same time that saw Spurs playmaker Luka Modric pull out of the team's Champions League game with Hearts, amid talks with Chelsea over a summer move. Shikabala, the Egyptian Premier League joint-top scorer last term, has been strongly linked with Belgian giants Anderlecht throughout the past two years but Zamalek were consistently reluctant to let him go. The 25-year-old is tied with Zamalek until 2015 as the Cairo club are unlikely to sell him for less than €3.5million.
