Hassan Shehata has promised to introduce 'new Zamalek' after being named as new manager. Shehata's appointment was a surprise as Zamalek announced a few days earlier they will offer former manager Hossam Hassan a new contract. "I am so happy that I finally returned home," former Zamalek captain Shehata told FilGoal.com. "I am honored by the confidence given to me by the board and promise that fans will see a new and different Zamalek next season." Shehata was Egypt's longest-serving boss, coaching the team for more than seven years and winning three successive African Cup of Nations titles. No coach in the world of football has ever won three continental trophies in a row. "We will do whatever we can to win every competition we participate in," he added. Zamalek are without a title since winning the Egyptian Cup in 2007. Their latest league title was in 2004.
