Egypt national team managers are willing to accept any reduction to their wages in the wake of the nation's revolt, according to Pharaohs coach Hamada Sedki. Following the January 25 Revolution, the Egyptian FA said that cutting wages of local managers and footballers is being seriously considered. Speaking on behalf of Egypt head coach Hassan Shehata and his assistant Shawki Gharib, Sedki revealed that the first team staff members have no reservations about any potential verdict from the FA. “We have not been notified yet with any decision, but we will surely accept any potential change in our salaries,” Sedki, who was part of Egypt's CAN-winning staff in 2006, 2008 and 2010, told FilGoal.com. “We are ready to accept a pay cut for several reasons, mainly because we are aware of the limited resources within the FA's possession at this critical time.” The majority of Egyptian Premier League footballers expressed their dismay with the potential rule of capping local-based players' salaries, following the revolution.
