Mido scored the only goal for Ajax reserves in a 2-1 defeat to Helmond Sport, playing full 90 minutes for the first time since moving to Amsterdam. The Egyptian didn't seem to be featuring in the plans of new manager Franck de Boer in this week's win at Vitesse as he remained on the bench for the whole match. Mido's exclusion from the 1-0 Eredivisie victory came despite the injury and suspension of regular strikers Mounir El Hamdaoui and Luis Suarez. The 27-year-old scored three times in his last four outings with the first team, following a slow start due to fitness problems.
