Niger have no fear - ecstatic boss
Published in FilGoal on 11 - 10 - 2010

Niger coach Harouna Doull said his side are not afraid of any team, in the wake of the African minnows' unexpected 1-0 home win over Egypt on Sunday.
Doull's men caused an upset by beating the Pharaohs, who seemed to be completely toothless, in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying stage.
A day after the match, the ecstatic tactician described the victory as 'the success of the entire nation' and revealed its effect on Niger's confidence.
"We are very confident, following the performance by the young people this afternoon. Now we do not fear any team," he told cafonline.com.
"I think we're in a good period and we expect more resources and preparation around this team to take it as high as possible.
"It is the success of the entire Nigerian nation. We wanted to make up for the three point loss in South Africa and we committed ourselves thoroughly."
Instructions
Doull also praised his players for following instructions, unlike Egypt coach Hassan Shehata who earlier said that his men ignored his directives.
"The players respected instructions to the letter and we played on equal terms with the seven-time African champions. And we succeeded to put her shoulders down," Doull added.
"What we have to do now is to win all our matches at home. It's possible after what we did against the Egyptians. But that will not be enough, the next is to go seek points away.
"For this we need to believe in the players and the coaching staff by providing the necessary resources.
"And then, it is premature to talk about it because nothing is yet to be done, we might go to Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
"For now we must enjoy the biggest day in football history in Niger without being carried away by the euphoria."
Niger are now in Group G second place with three points, one behind leaders South Africa.
Egypt are languishing at the bottom of the group on a single point.
